Melanie Fihelly Conservation specializes in the conservation and restoration of objects, outdoor sculptures and built heritage. I provide Training and Preventive Conservation advice to the Museum and Gallery sector. I service the Sunshine Coast / Brisbane Area, and I am currently the only Objects Conservation business based in South Queensland that is recognised as a fully trained and qualified Professional Member of the AICCM (Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Materials).
Over the past nineteen years I have worked on projects at Queensland Museum, Port Arthur Historic Sites, Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, MONA, The Australian Museum, The Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Western Australian Maritime Museum, The National Archives (Perth), Conservation Works Pty Ltd (Canberra), plus numerous private clients, councils, and small museums.
